ArmorBlock

Modular High-Mass Concrete for Industrial Vibration and Noise Control

A relocatable, high-density concrete wall system designed to reduce structure-borne vibration, low-frequency noise, and equipment impact in harsh industrial environments.

The Problem

Industrial facilities routinely struggle with vibration and low-frequency noise generated by mechanical equipment — chillers, compressors, generators, turbines, and large air-handling systems. Traditional mitigation relies on lightweight partitions, drywall assemblies, or CMU walls that crack, transmit vibration, or need repeated maintenance.

Low-frequency vibration is especially hard to manage. It travels through structure, not air — and lightweight solutions simply don’t have the mass to attenuate it.

The ArmorBlock Solution

ArmorBlock is a modular, high-mass concrete block system that provides passive vibration and noise attenuation through density, thickness, and continuity. Rather than relying on active systems or fragile assemblies, it uses mass to reduce energy transmission at the source.

Because it’s modular, ArmorBlock can be deployed, reconfigured, or expanded without demolition or permanent construction.

How It Works

ArmorBlock reduces vibration and noise through three physical mechanisms.

Mass Loading

High density resists low-frequency energy transmission — the mass lightweight assemblies lack.

Structural Stiffness

A continuous, rigid wall reduces flexure and resonance rather than amplifying it.

Continuity

Solid coursing eliminates the gaps and weak points common in framed assemblies.

The result is a durable, passive barrier that performs consistently over time with minimal maintenance.

Why ArmorBlock Instead of CMU or Drywall

  • Significantly higher mass per linear foot
  • No reliance on fragile studs or fasteners
  • Resistant to cracking from vibration and impact
  • Modular and relocatable
  • Lower lifecycle maintenance cost
  • Predictable performance without tuning or calibration

ArmorBlock does not replace engineering analysis. It simplifies it.

Typical Applications

Where It Applies

Mechanical yards and equipment enclosures · generator and chiller separation walls · compressor and pump isolation zones · data-center mechanical infrastructure · vibration-sensitive manufacturing · spaces adjacent to occupied areas.

Built for Harsh Environments

Continuous vibration · heavy equipment traffic · temperature swings · moisture and dust exposure · long service-life expectations. Built for industrial conditions, not office interiors.

Installation & Integration

Installs with conventional material-handling equipment and integrates with slabs, foundations, and existing structures. Walls can be straight, segmented, or stacked — well suited to new construction and retrofit where downtime must be minimized.

In Short

ArmorBlock offers a practical, high-mass alternative to traditional vibration and noise-mitigation assemblies. By using concrete where concrete works best, it delivers durability, predictability, and flexibility in environments where lightweight solutions routinely fail.
